Business story

A local operator, not a national lead form.

Right of Entry Lock & Security was founded to give people in stressful moments a better option than a regional or national lead-generation call center or a mystery subcontractor. When someone is locked out, dealing with damaged hardware, or trying to secure a property after hours, they need clear answers and competent work, not sales pressure.

The business is owned and operated by Ron Meck, a Navy veteran and service-connected disabled veteran whose background defines every job he takes on. In the early 2000s, Ron served as a Navy Gunner’s Mate securing beachheads for the U.S. Marines, where his mission was to ensure that critical hardware never failed when lives were on the line. That experience shapes how Ron works today: showing up prepared, communicating directly, and maintaining the kind of discipline that keeps small mistakes from turning into bigger problems. Whether it’s a simple rekey or a high-security installation, Ron treats every door like it’s the most important line of defense—because when it comes to your security, failure is not an option

Right of Entry is rooted in Toano and James City County, with day-to-day work built around the communities between Toano, Hampton-Roads, and Greater Richmond. That local footprint matters because arrival expectations, travel realities, and neighborhood knowledge are all different when the person answering the phone actually knows the area.

It is also a family-owned business. That keeps the standard simple: treat people fairly, like family, respect their property, and do work that holds up after the service call is over. Failure is not an option.
